~~NEWS~~

Hey ya'll!
I know it has been practically all summer since I wrote! Summer has been great! I didn't get any over the 20 jobs I applied for! :( But I have been babysitting and doing odd jobs so I have been making money. The Lord has been good to me and has given me more than one job every week so far!
We have been having VBS all this week. Tonight is the 3rd night. Lael said that if we have 100 he will buy ice cream. We hit 95 last night! I am not expecting to hit it tonight since it is Wednesday, but the the Lord can do all. I am just so glad to see the Lord blessing all our hard work!
I have been doing well with my devotional life. I am really seeing God's hand work in my life. I applied for College and just need one more Reference and Pastor's reference and I am finished with applying!

So I started this blog and forgot to finish it! Sooooo here it is! This was written in July during VBS! We got that ice cream as well as 33 kids saved! PRAISE THE LORD!

I'm Back! :)

Hello Everyone!
So the countdown to graduation is over and the countdown to college is almost up! I can hardly believe that I will be attending West Coast Baptist College in 14 days! WoW! :) Super exciting! I am just about ready! I am really praying I get on their Work Study Program!
The Lord has been working in my life like never before! I am seeing prayers answer and a feel His presence in my life. I can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for me!
This summer may have been the worst, but best. Worst because I have been going through trails like it is no body's business, but best because the Lord has help me through it all. Some things that have happen this summer is a little boy I know named Buddy Morningstar is battle cancer. Buddy (I do believe) is 5, and has a really rare mental problem.  Buddy's cancer is suppose to be SUPER treatable, but the tumor has actually grown! And he only has one functional kidney (it is kidney cancer). The doctors just told the family there is nothing that can be down for him anymore. I know God has a plan and a purpose, but I still can't help to ask "why?".
My family has gone throw some stuff as well as my church,  but I believe it has help grow stronger as a family and a church!
My school is struggling and we are praying for 40 students. Praise the Lord we have (as far as I know) 29! Prayfully the Lord will bless us with the rest!
My church monthly average offerings have gone up! And we started the Bus Ministry again and Soul-Winning on Thursday Nights! The Lord has blessed.
Sometimes it is sooooo easy to dwell on the bad and the negative times, and forget the good times even happen. I could probably name you more bad times than good. But if we wrote down every time something bad has happen and every time something good has happen, the good would out weigh the bad. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 29:9 that if we keep His commandment that we shall prosper.  Jeremiah 29:11 says God has plans for us, and not evil ones. It goes on to say that if we look for God, we WILL find Him! Praise the Lord that God can't lie! If God says it, that is the end of the discussion!
I have been keeping a journal this summer. A personal one, but I do hope that I can continue blogging. I pray that someone will stumble across it, and be blessed by it!

EXPLOSION!

Ok sorry about the explosion of blogs! I am hoping to start maybe writing weekly! :)
SCHOOL IS ALMOST OVER!!! 36 days! (That includes holidays and weekends!) Can't wait! Graduation is sooo soon! I have ALOT to do! A Lit Project, a book report, a 5k, finish the rest of my work, and graduation stuff! Oh and my cousin is getting married at the end of MAY!!! Exciting stuff!
So lately I have been trying to read a Psalms or a couple of Psalms a day to help me stay on the island of praise. :) Psalms is such a great book! David just pours himself completely and totally into God's hands. Most of them are asking God to forgive him or to save him from his enemies! Then there are the Psalms that just describe God and his power. I just read a chapter that talked about God's voice! It is really interesting!
I really don't wanna be a negative person. I want to be a happy positive person, a loving person, a person who understands, and a forgiving person. The last one is really my downfall that and being understanding. I never thought I was too terrible at forgiveness and understanding, but this last couple years I find very hard to be!
For the last month I have been looking for a job! PLEASE PRAY I GET ONE! I have put 9 different applications in!  9! I really don't wanna work at McDonald's! SO please pray I can get a job!
Well it is really past my bed time! Night night! :)

My view of life in people form. (Lit. assignment)

Life is a vapor which will soon pass away.
No one can really know his last day,
Or really tell when it will begin.
Life isn't a game you can win.
Life is like a race.
You have to set your own pace.
You have to endure through the pain,
And struggle through life's rain.
In life's race you can't cheat,
But one day you're Saviour you'll meet.

The Death of Sarah (23)

Sarah dies and Abraham wants to give her the proper burial. SO he asked the sons of Heth if he may buy one of their caves. They said yes. So Abraham buries Sarah.

Isaac as a Sacrifice (22)

The Lord saw Abraham's love for Isaac and that it was great. Now, the Bible doesn't say, but maybe Abraham wasn't talking or walking with the Lord like he was before Isaac was born. But the Lord decided to put Abraham through a test. He told Abraham to sacrifice his son, and Abraham would have if it was for the Lord stepping in! Abraham proved his love to the Lord, and in return the Lord blessed him!

The Birth of Isaac (21)

The Lord finally opens up Sarah's womb and fulfills His promise and gives Sarah a baby boy. The Lord loves to do the impossible Abraham was 100 years old! Sarah was about 99! 99 year old  women just don't pop out babies every day! This was a miracle performed by God. Well Sarah must get on her "high-horse" because she remember Hagar and Ishmael and has Abraham throw them out because she didn't want them around Isaac. Hagar doesn't know what to do or where to go. The Lord came and showed her. The Lord promised her Ishmael would be the Father of a Nation as well, and He was going to keep that promise!

Abraham Deceives Abimelech (20)

Abraham once again ask Sarah to "lie" and say she was his sister. (She was his half sister so it was a half lie, but still a lie) Abimelech took Sarah. God came to Abimelech in a dream and said you're going to die because you took another man's wife. Abimelech explained to the Lord that he didn't know. The Lord told him He wouldn't kill Abimelech if he gave Sarah back and asked Abraham to pray for him, but the Lord closed the woman's wombs so they couldn't have babies. (As punishment) Abimelech confronts Abraham about it the next morning, and did what the Lord had commanded. And the Lord open the women's wombs again.

Blessing

This weekend (April 2nd) we had our annual LADIES SPECTACULAR!!! Most of the time it is a fun and tiring experience that I just can't wait for it to be over! Well this year was different. Bro. Randy and his wife Mrs. Janelle Dignan came and spoke at it. Mrs. Janelle grew up at my church, so I know her and her husband pretty well. They have always been an encouragement to me, but this week they were a special blessing.
Our theme for the spectacular was "Island of Praise".  This year we didn't split up into session like usual. Mrs. Janelle spoke in the first session on planting your seeds on the island. She used the story of Joseph as an example. Joseph was given a series of trying times in his life. His brothers sold him to slavery, he was falsely accused of doing something and then sent to prison for it, but he eventually came ruler of Egypt. Joseph was given "seeds" in his life. He choose to plant them on the island (or God) and he reaped many blessings.
She used examples of planting your seed in Satan's Garden (I don't remember the actual name of it), and what you would sow from that garden. Bitterness, anger, hatred, ect. Bitterness spoke to me. Man can I hold a grudge! Not something I am proud of. In fact, I hate that quality in me! I could be experiencing such a happy life if I could just learn to let go! It is something I am working on with God's help.

Bro. Randy preached the 2nd session. He preached on "Staying on the Island of Praise". This spoke to me as well! I need to be more thankful and praising. Women have such power that we tend to harness in the wrong direction. We can make or break a man. I decided that day that I wanted to be known for making men, not breaking them and making them wimps and sissies! I need to learn to praise them. I need to learn to praise others. I tend to be a positive person, but there is always room for improvement.

This moring (April 3rd) Bro. Randy preached in church. He preached on "staying awake". The Lord is going to return and it very well could be tomorrow. I need to stay awake and alert and be ready for the Lord. I don't want to be like the disciples who didn't wake up when Jesus told them to get up, but got up when the soldiers came. I wanna be awake and ready before Satan shows up. I wanna be the one that Satan says every morning, "Oh No! She's awake!!" But I need to keep in the Word and under good preaching to do that.

Then Bro. Randy preached again tonight. He preached on just being thankful. He gave us 4 things to be thankful for. (1.) My salvation. God didn't have to save me from Hell. I don't deserve to be saved from Hell. But He did because He loves me sooo much! (2.) Soldiers and Servants of Christ. I need to be thankful for my Pastor and other men of God who are trying to preach God's Word. It is tough! Sooo many people attack it every day! And other servants of the Lord who will work and work and work and no one will every know it. (Except God) (3) Other Saints. My church is my family. There might not be anything stronger than your church family. They are there for you whenever! There to pray for you and comfort you and just encourage you! I don't remember the 4th thing I'm afraid. But it was sooo good!
Bro. Randy had me crying twice this weekend. I hate crying! But it was good! I needed it! I hope the Lord blesses him and his family! I am so thankful for them!

I wanna encourage anyone reading this to every day write 10 things they are thankful for. I promise you. You may have 500 reasons not to get up and make it a great day, but you have 500 reasons to get up and make it a great day!

Chapter 5

Genesis Chapter 5

A. Geneologies
  1. First man not to die-Enoch (vs 24)
  2. First man mention to walk with God after the fall-Enoch

God just took Enoch home. Enoch didn't have to experience death. Why? Because he walked with the Lord.

Chapter 4

Genesis Chapter 4

A. Brothers
  1. Cain-farmer (vs 1-2)
  2. Abel-shepherd (vs 2)
B. Offering (vs 3-4)
  1. Cain-fruit offering (vs 3)
  2. Abel-sheep (vs 4)
  3. God's Shows Respect (v 4)
  4. Cain's Anger (vs 5-6)
  5. The First Murder (vs 8-10)
  6. The punishment (vs 11-15)
  7. God's Mercy (vs 15)
  8. Geneology (vs 16-24)
  9. Seth-then began man to call upon the Lord
So far we have seen the first sin and the first nurder. Both times we see that God punished them. But God showed mercy both times too. He could have easily killed Adam and Eve and started over again. He didn't have to put a mark on Cain to protect Cain from others who might want to kill him for killing Abel. Don't we serve a merciful God?

Chapter 3

Genesis Chapter 3
  1. Temptation
  2. The Serpent (vs 1)
  3. The adding to the Rule (vs 3)
  4. The Lie (vs 4-5)
  5. The Fall (vs 6-7)
  6. The Realization (vs 7)
  7. The Guilt (vs 8-10)
  8. The Blame Game (vs 10-13)
  9. The Punishment (vs 14-21)
  10. The Dismal (vs 22-24)
One thing I remember about this story is how much it hurt God. It still hurts God this much and maybe even more when we sin. That makes me feel horrible! Because I know there are times I sin because I choose too. :( How guilty I feel knowing I am willing hurting my precious Saviour!

Genesis Chapter 1

So for devotions I have been studying the Old Testament. Starting with *drum roll* GENESIS!!! I made an out line of the Chapter.
Here it is!

A. Creation
     1.) Day 1-Light (Day/Night)
     2.) Day 2-Sky
     3.) Day 3-Dry Land
4.) Day 4-Sun, Moon, Stars (seasons, days, and years)
     5.) Day 5-Animals
          a) Commanded to be fruitful
     6.) Day 6-Humans
          a) Made in God's likeness
          b) Have dominion over the animals
          c) Be fruitful
7.) He saw made sure everything was "good"

Chapter 1 of Genesis is about the the first 6 days of creation. God didn't NEED 6 days, but I believe He chose to take 6 days to be an example. If God took 6 days to create the universe, then I think we can take our time in getting things done. Now I am not saying to procrasinate, but we tend to get try to squeeze as many things as we can in 1 day. Then we are up all hours of the night and then we aren't taking care of our bodies which is the temple of God ( 1 Cor. 3:16). Another reason why I think He took 6 days is this one little saying that was repeated in almost every verse (at least so it seemed) "...and God saw that it was good." He took His time and made sure the job was done right! I hate when people do a job half-way. AND SOMETIMES I AM THE ONE DOING IT HALF-WAY!! Ugh! It is sooo frustrating! I usually end up going back and doing it again anyways! The Bible says to "do all to the glory of God." ( 1 Cor. 10:31). So we are suppose to do all things well. And God is the perfect example of that when He created the world.

Well it is getting late and I have school in the morning! I have lots more to post! :)

Watching

In Opening on Monday morning, Pastor spoke one Proverbs 21:12. The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the wicked: but Fod overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.
Promise: God is going to over throw the wicked.
Pastor asked us if we knew of a family who weren't living for the Lord. Then he asked us what are the homes like. Rough, troubled, heavy spirit, tention-just a few things that pop into my mind. He went on to tell us that the Bible says that God is going to overthrow or destroy the wicked, so there was no use to long to live like they were. Because while things might be going ok now, in the end their sin will find them out and they will be destroyed. He ended it with a challenge. He challenged us to wach the "wicked" and see what their end is.

Thought I would try to share some Opening messages with you. They are 15 min or less devotions so I won't have much. :)

Destiny

"Simply put, there is no other true life. There are substitutes. There are second-hand copies. But you have only one destiny designed by God and only one life with which to discover it. You can't rewind, You can't start over. You'll never pass 'go.' One chance is all you get. Whoever heard of a game where you only get one turn? Welcome to real life. These are God's rules. You go around one time, then you stand before Him to give an account. You cannot see the future; you cannot cheat. You cannot really be sure of anything but Him. You and only you will give account for you. You cannot blame anyone or anything else for mistakes  or failures, You will be given full and unrestricted access to God, but only by faith. You cannot see Him or audibly hear Him. You will be given His Word and His promises. You will be subject to His laws, yet given the free will to rebel against a select number of them. In the end, you will face eternity. You will answer only to God, and you will live somewhere forever. there are no time-outs, and you never know for sure when the game will end. As you are learning the fame, it has already started, and it could end at any moment. You'll know that the game is over when you are flat on your face before Jesus Christ. Your turn will be first, you are the only player in your 'race,' and it's always your turn/ On your mark; get set; go!"

BACK!!!!

Hey ya'll!!
I'm back from the beautiful state of California! It was sooo warm and green!! I can't wait for spring!! I love the college! It was amazing! I could just tell that God's spirit was there. I can't wait to go back THIS fall!
So confession-I really have bee struggling with my devotions and my walk with God. I can hold grudges and I was. Soooo last week I really struggled with reading my Bible everyday. Thank the Lord that the I was getting preached at everyday. Sometimes twice a day. But I am happy to say I am resolving things. And my walk with the Lord is getting stronger!
Our flight home got delayed due to all the crazy rain we got. Well for some strange reason I just wanted to charge my camera. (It was dead, but I didn't use it so I coulda waited til I got home.) Well the ONLY plug was by a Jew OOrthodox (sp?). I didn't know that was her "religion". So I go over plug my camera in and she asked me if I was Jewish Orthodox (sp?). I told her no and we ended up getting into a conversion over religion. Now I have a strong desire to study the Old Testament so I can better be prepared for the next time! If you think about it please pray for her. She is lost and is going to hell. If she is here when the Anti-Christ makes himself known she will follow him. And will be lost forever! Praise the Lord I was able to witness to her a little.
But I hope to be back and updating regularly (sp?) again!
Lots of Love <3

Luke 24:13-53

Hey ya'll!
Wow! Today has been exciting! I finished packing for California! WOOO-HOOOO!!! LA here I come! My school is sending its Seniors to West Coast Baptist College for a week to view the college. I am sooo excited! :) I also discovered that my Kid's Club group is teaching this month! Pretty exciting! Beka taught today's lesson. She did really well for being unprepared! She spoke on knowing the Lord personally! It was a really great lesson!
Well today's devotion for me is Luke 24:13-53.This section of Scripture is over the resurrection and ascension of Christ. I am sooo thankful He didn't stay dead! I am soo thankful that He will return one day! And soon! One thing that really stood out to me in this passage was "And their eyes were opened, and they knew him..." (vs 31) Verse 45 says something similiar. "Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures." The book of Proverbs has alot to say about understanding. In fact, Prov. 2 :5 says that understanding AND knowledge is from the Lord. If we want to be smart (because to be smart you have to KNOW fact, but you also have to UNDERSTAND them.), we have to get in God's Word. We have to know God. (John 1 :1 God and the Word are the same) Many people go to church, but how many of them go to church because they WANT to hear from God. Many people own a Bible, but how many of them READ their Bible hoping that God will speak to them personally. God doesn't speak throught dreams or visions anymore. And you will not hear Him audiblely (sp?). You have to read His Word. Read what He gave you. Many call the Bible "God's Love Letter to Us". Most people when they get love letters they keep safe and read them over and over and over and over again. They will have it memorized word for word but they still will take the time to read it. Why? Because it is precious to them. Well the Bible should be even more precious than a love letter from your love one.
I hope this encourages you and even motivates you to be closer to God. Well time for church! I will be gone all next week! Hope you make it a GREAT week! :)

Devotion

Hello again!
Lately, I have been doing a 90-Day Overview. I will be reading day 62 passage today which is Luke 22:1-23.
Luke 22 is talking about the Lord's Supper, or better known as the Last Supper. This is the night that Judas would betray Jesus, and turn Him over to the government. Now, please remember Jesus lived a perfect life. He never did anything wrong! You may ask then why was He being punished? Because "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Jesus had sacrifice His life so that "whosoever believeth in Him [Jesus] should not perish [die and go to Hell], but have eternal life [go to Heaven and live forever]." Jesus died for everyone! No matter what you have done, Jesus died for you! He wants you to have eternal life! He wants you to be with Him in Heaven forever! (2 Peter 3:9) This is a wonderful promise! Romas 10:13- "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." All we have to do is ask! Romasn 6:23- "For the wages [payment] of sin is death; but the gift [something that is given to you freely] of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
I want to encourage you to ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and to save you from sin. (If you haven't already.) This is THE MOST IMPORTANT decision you will ever make! I pray this has been an encouragement to you if you are saved. I know it has for me.
Thanks for reading! :)

Beginning

Hello! :)
I really just started this blog to help me think and hopefully get closer to the Lord. I have been having issues lately with my thought life. So I am hoping this might help.
A little about me: I have had one BEST friend. Her name is Rebekah (aka Beka or Bek). She has been with me since the grand age of 2. Haha :) We are nursery buddies! I love her to death!! She has been with me through everything! Even when I probably didn't deserve her being there.

Beka and I "Black Friday" shopping

Pee-Wee Club
I have a WONDERFUL church! It has its moments like any other thing, but there's no place like your home church! At my church, I am EXTREMELY busy! And I love it! I teach a class on Wednesday called "Pee-Wee Club."  I am in the church choir, the ladies choir, and a couple singing groups (I don't know why I'm in sooo many singing groups, I don't even have that great of a voice!). I also take my turn helping with the nursery and with "Kid's Club."

I have not quite graduate from high school yet! (JUNE 2011!!!) So I'm still living at home. My family is...special. hahaha I love them! I am the oldest of 4. I have 3 brothers. Do you understand what that mean? Yeah! Surrounded by guys! My parents are still together. I have a dog name Izabelle Grace, a cat named Cotten, and another cat named Callie (aka Tubbie).
